On September 12-15, the city of Bordeaux in France will be hosting the first edition of the WoodRise World Congress, an event aimed at showcasing international scientific and technological excellence in mid-rise and high-rise wood buildings. FPInnovations is an organizer of the WoodRise Congress.

As a follow-up to this event, professionals and stakeholders in the wood construction industry in Quebec are invited to take part, on October 4, in the Colloque WoodRise Québec, a one-day conference that will update participants on the event in Bordeaux.

The morning’s program will consist of four talks while, in the afternoon, a lively conference-workshop will try and prompt participants to answer the following question: What lessons can we learn for Quebec’s wood construction industry from the conclusions of the WoodRise World Congress and the prospects that it has opened up?

The main activity, which will take place at Université Laval (Pavillon Gene-H.-Kruger) in Quebec City, may also be viewed live at the locations below:

Saguenay – Université du Québec à Chicoutimi

Montréal (location to be announced)

Gatineau – Université du Québec en Outaouais

Rimouski – Institut maritime du Québec
