We are excited to announce that registration for the 2016 Forests Ontario Annual Conference is open! The conference will take place on Friday, February 5th at the Nottawasaga Inn, Alliston.

This year we will be exploring the theme of Regeneration –  looking at engaging future generations of environmental leaders to help face the challenges ahead and ensure the healthy regeneration of our forests. Join us and close to 300 landowners, forestry professionals, educators and students, at one of Ontario’s largest forestry conferences. Come to learn and network, and engage in conversations around the future of Ontario’s forests.

Sessions will include:

  • Beech Bark Disease – Planning today for a healthy forest tomorrow
  • Exploring York Region’s ‘Living’ Forest Education Centre
  • The Next Workforce
  • How Ontario’s Tree Nurseries are thinking ahead
  • Youth Panel – how can we better engage with tomorrow’s stewards
  • Seed Forecasting and Collection Pre-Conference Workshop – pre-registration required!

We hope you will join us! For more information about conference, and to register, visit http://www.forestsontario.ca/index.php/annual_conference. If you are interested in staying at the Nottawasaga Inn, please contact them directly about rates under Forests Ontario.
