DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – The Louisiana-Pacific board of directors will vote later this month on a plan to convert the OSB mill in Dawson Creek to a new siding mill, according to a story on energeticcity.ca.

The mill would produce SmartSide engineered wood siding.

In the story, LP CEO Brad Southern explains the choice of the Dawson Creek site: “Key factors that differentiated this site are timing to first board, wood cost, cost of production, proximity to our West Coast customer base, and reduced operational risk due to the fact that Dawson Creek is currently staffed and producing OSB.”
