High-profile speakers
The conference program is well on its way to taking shape and participants can expect a high-calibre of international speakers. Topics will include new global policies, the emergence of wood construction projects around the world, and the contribution of wood construction to the bio-economy and the carbon market. Keynote speakers include the internationally renowned British architect Andrew Waugh, a forerunner in the use of engineered wood and offsite construction; Nicolas Laisné, a French architect who developed the concept of augmented architecture; as well as Michael Marks, chairman, and founder of Katerra, a US multinational in the field of wood construction.
B2B meetings
At the time of registration, it will also be possible to register for the B2B meeting platform, a structured networking activity that will give companies with common interests an opportunity to meet potential partners, engage in discussions, and assess the feasibility of shared projects.
The B2B platform will be managed with the intent of creating a profile that specifies the products and services being sought, identifying compatible participants, and planning appropriate matches. B2B meetings will be held on October 1 and 2; the schedule and meeting bookings will be available 6-8 weeks before the event.
Technical visits
The organizing committee is offering a number of options for technical visits with varying lengths of times, in order to suit all interests. Two industrial visit options, three building visit options, and one final laboratory visit option are now available on October 3 and 4. Please consult the schedule of tours for details.
