VERNON, B.C. — Tolko Industries has received SFI Sustainable Forest Management and Fibre Sourcing certifications for its woodland operations, effective December 1, 2017.
The forest products company said SFI certification will replace any current CSA certification that Tolko holds. The company’s CSA certification expired as of January 1, 2018, at which time Tolko’s sustainable forest management (SFM) will be certified exclusively to the SFI system.
“Over the past several months the Woodlands team has put in a large amount of effort through changes in processes, documentation and through external confirmation audits to successfully achieve this certification,” the company said in a statement.
