NHLA is offering two lumber grading training opportunities
in Brattleboro, Vermont – Class Begins April 29.
On April 29, NHLA will offer TWO different learning opportunities at the same location:
- 3-Day Intro to Lumber Grading Course
- Block 1 of the Inspector Training School Progressive Program.
The 3-Day Intro to Lumber Grading Course is perfect for those individuals who want a basic understanding of the NHLA hardwood grading rules; perfect for yardmen, sawyers, edgermen, sales and office staff, and management level personnel.
Block 1 of the Inspector Training School Progressive Program is two-weeks of hands-on study. This course is normally offered at NHLA headquarters in Memphis but on April 29, we are offering Block 1 at Allard Lumber Company in Brattleboro, Vermont
More about the ITS Progressive Program:
The Inspector Training School Progressive Program was created to allow individuals the opportunity to become a NHLA trained lumber inspector without being away from the office for 12-weeks, the time required with the traditional lumber inspector training program.
The Progressive Program is divided into 3 blocks. Upon the successful completion of one block, a student can then proceed to the next. Students who successfully fulfill all program requirements will receive a certificate of completion.
- Block 1 requires two weeks of hands-on study, normally at NHLA Headquarters.
- Once Block 1 is completed, you can move over to Block 2 which allows for up to 12 months of online study and testing of required material.
- The final step, Block 3 requires three weeks of classroom study, board runs and final testing.
