The draft of the FSC Canada Controlled Wood National Risk Assessment (NRA) is now available for public consultation. The process and structure for developing this draft NRA is based on the FSC International framework for National Risk Assessments (FSC-PRO-60-002 V3-0 and FSC-PRO-60-002a V1-0). Once finalized, the NRA will be required to be used by FSC Chain of Custody certificate holders who source non-certified materials in the production of FSC-certified products, under the Controlled Wood standard (FSC-STD-40-005 V3-1).
All stakeholders and interested parties are invited to provide input on the draft National Risk Assessment. The consultation period is open from March 1 – April 30, 2018.
