The Little Bobtail Lake forest fire has been completely contained and its is now perimeter completely extinguished, but smoke  from the fire will remain visible for the rest of the summer, the province’s wildfire management branch said Wednesday.
“Starting next week crews will no longer remain on scene daily but will return to the fire if the fire flares up close to the perimeter,” the branch said. “The wildfire management branch will continue to actively monitor the fire each day.”
The public is being asked to avoid travelling in and around the fire’s area and to exercise extreme caution when outdoors to prevent a similar incident.
Meanwhile, Prince George RCMP Cpl. Craig Douglass said Wednesday that an investigation into the cause of the fire is continuing and is expected to take some time,
