FSC Canada welcomes David Flood, RFP, of the FSC Canada Aboriginal Chamber, as Chair of the FSC Canada Board of Directors.
David is indigenous and is a member of Matachewan First Nation located in Ontario. David’s lifelong commitment to support full participation by indigenous people in the benefits derived from forestry and forest management planning by third parties and governments in their respective territories. David has worked at regional scales with indigenous political territorial organizations and with First Nations communities seeking ways to advance the process and responsibilities of the Canadian Government(s) in consultation requirements and the outcome sought of Free, Prior, Informed Consent.
